Episode 54: Getting All Formal

It sounds like the Cardinals are getting down to business, giving the Marlins a formal offer for NL MVP Giancarlo Stanton.  What does this mean, if anything?  Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Allen (The Redbird Daily, @amedlock1) talk about all the angles and whether we might have something extra to give thanks for this weekend.  The guys also get into what it means that Matt Carpenter is going to be a utility guy, whether every player should expect a personal visit from the front office when they have something they want to discuss, and more of the Favorite Cardinals!

Episode 53: Continuing To Wait

Even though things are happening for the Cardinals, the big moves are still out there, hopefully being worked on.  Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Allen (The Redbird Daily, @amedlock1) spin their wheels a little bit as well.  Trevor Rosenthal was cut loose and the guys talk about that as well as the latest rumors/reports around Giancarlo Stanton and the offensive exploits of Adam Wainwright are rewarded.  Then the guys get deeper into the Favorite Player list, with a lot of recent closers getting discussed as well as a Hall of Famer.

Episode 52: A Look At the Calendar

With the season finally over (congrats to the Astros!), Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Allen (The Redbird Daily, @amedlock1) start looking at the off-season calendar.  Who may get non-tendered?  We already know that Lance Lynn is going to reject his qualifying offer but what about the return of Juan Nicasio?  When can we expect any deals to start going down?  Plus more of the Favorite Cardinal Players countdown!

Episode 51: The Changes Start Early

We thought that it'd be after the World Series before we had much to talk about in regards to the Cardinals.  Boy, were we wrong!  Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Allen (The Redbird Daily, @amedlock1) run down all the new coaching hires, from the repositioning of Mike Shildt to the reappearance of Jose Oquendo to the addition of Mike Maddux.  (Perhaps the club is going with the power of the Mikes instead of the Matts now!)  Will the coaching changes make a difference?  What does this mean for Mike Matheny, if anything?
After that, the guys tackle the next section of the Favorite Players Project so be sure to give a listen and reminisce about some players!

Episode 50: Past, Present, and Future

The guys cover all aspects of the Cardinals and baseball in this one!  First off, they talk about the Evil Empire being toppled (no, not the one in New York) and how likely it is the Cubs are going to rise again.  That leads to a discussion of the firing of Dusty Baker and how that reflects on the Cardinals retaining Mike Matheny.  They look ahead a bit to what may come this offseason due to some reports from John Mozeliak about making a closer the top priority and an impact bat coming via trade.  Should they commit a lot of money to the ninth inning?  Is a trade already all but final, just waiting for the end of the World Series?
Then Daniel and Allen transition to the beginnings of the Favorite Cardinal Project.  They list off the first 33 names and talk about memories and impressions of some of those listed.  If you submitted a ballot earlier in the year, you'll want to start listening to hear how the list will shake out!

Episode 49: The Ping Pong Club

It was another quiet week for the Cardinals, given that whole "MLB playoffs" thing is going on and teams really don't do anything while they are, which really dampens the topics of conversation.  Somehow Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Allen (The Redbird Daily, @amedlock1) found things to talk about anyway.  They touch on the MLB playoffs, most notably the terribleness that is the Cubs still being alive in them along with what is wrong with replay today, then they get into more Cardinal-centric matters.  Do the Cardinals really need to go after Greg Holland?  Is there clubhouse tension between players, as Jose de Jesus Ortiz indicated in his article this week?  Are Randal Grichuk's days numbered?  All this and some groundwork laid for the Favorite Cardinal Players list which will start to be revealed next week.  Be sure to subscribe to the show if you haven't already so you won't miss out on those!

The Last Jedi trailer is out!  We couldn't let such a tremor in the Force go without commenting on it, so Tina Bradley (ErdrickStorm) and Steven McNeil (SMcNeil_87) join Daniel (@C70) to talk about all things from a galaxy far, far away.  Will Rey fall to the dark side?  What has Luke seen that makes him so terrified?  Can anyone withstand the cuteness of the porgs?  All this and much more from our resident experts!

Episode 48: The Off-Season Begins

It's the first off-season show of 2017 but that doesn't mean Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Allen (The Redbird Daily, @amedlock1) don't have things to talk about.  There were a couple of games since the last show, but the biggest news of the week was the after season press conference held by John Mozeliak (with Michael Girsch and Mike Matheny along for the ride).  Changes in the coaching staff and talk about what the focus is going to be this winter were the biggest things out of this meeting.  What does that mean for next year?  What does the front office have to do to get the fans excited again?  All that and more!

Episode 47: The End and the Beginning

While the 2017 season is just about to run its course, there was a lot of finality to this week as the Cubs made sure that there was no October baseball coming for the Cardinals.  Granted, that was a thin thread they had to cut, but now fans can fully turn their attention to the offseason and the changes that the Cardinals need to make.  Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Allen (The Redbird Daily, @amedlock1) talk about various items relating to the last week and the time to come, including whether Lance Lynn got a fair shake in his last start, why Friday night's lineup wasn't as different as expected, and some general thoughts about what could be coming up.
