Daniel (C70 At the Bat, @C70) and Allen (Red Dirt Redbird, @amedlock1) are back at it this week, talking about a big week of Cardinal news.  Less so the games and more so things around the team, though Miles Mikolas almost throwing a no-hitter commanded a lot of attention.  The guys talk about their thoughts on almost seeing history as well as what might be a preview of the changing of the guard at catcher, as Yadier Molina heads to the IL.  They discuss the somewhat new atmosphere and approach to the roster and team from this year as well as why it's not bad that they are somewhat of a vanilla organization.  Small technical problems in the middle but hopefully it's still a good listen!

Not only are the Cardinals back in first place in the NL Central but Allen (Red Dirt Redbird, @amedlock1) is back in the co-hosting chair!  Allen joins Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and talks about his season coaching Tulsa Hale and the challenges that went along with a new program.  Then the guys get into the week of Cardinal baseball, talking about the road ahead, if Corey Dickerson had the best timing on getting hurt, and what happens when Jack Flaherty and Jordan Hicks are healthy.  Plus, even with him finding a stroke in Memphis, have we seen the last of Paul DeJong?  All that and more for your weekend!

Episode 242: Night After Blowout Old Man Talk

Adam Wainwright likes to go take pictures as he goes on his "Day After Pitching Old Man Walk".  It'd be great to say that Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Alex (Birds on the Black, @alexcards79) painted verbal pictures during this podcast to inform and delight, but that's probably pushing the analogy too far.  The guys do wander down some rabbit trails, such as a former Cardinal outfielder and if anyone will reach 3,000 hits again, but they also talk about the young additions to the Cardinals and their chances the rest of the year.  Sit back and enjoy the rambling!

After the debut of one of the most highly anticipated Star Wars projects to date, Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) brings in Kyle Reis (Birds on the Black, @kyler416) to talk...baseball and the minors, what were you expecting?  The guys get into how Kyle adjusts when prospects become major leaguers, whether teams are rushing their players through the minors, what to expect from Nolan Gorman and Matthew Liberatore, and who is coming up from the farm.  OK, OK, there's also Star Wars talk at the very end, mainly about Obi-Wan Kenobi but also other various Star Wars properties.  It's well marked, however, so if you are worried about spoilers you can drop out before we get to that.  Come use Kyle's knowledge, he begs you!
