Episode 226: Eight Is Great

Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Allen (Red Dirt Redbird, @amedlock1) kick off the eighth season of the show by honoring what has become tradition to begin things, bringing on Jeff Jones (Belleville News-Democrat, @jmjones) to start the season off properly.  The guys talk about a wide variety of items, starting with the current MLB lockout and what this winter has been like for a writer and wrapping up with a look at the 2022 Cardinals.  In between, there's Hall of Fame voting and what it's like for Jeff to move into the "old guy" section of the Cardinals beat writers.  A great way to start off what will hopefully be a great year!

Episode 225: A Year End Grab Bag

As 2021 comes to a close, Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) and Allen (Red Dirt Redbird, @amedlock1) get together one final time to put a bow on the season.  The lockout is still the only real topic in baseball and the guys talk about what they want to see come out of the CBA negotiations and how confident they are the 2022 season will start on time.  They then tackle some of the topics around the Hall of Fame voting before finishing up with a quick look back at the Cardinals season.  Thanks to all that have supported us this season and we wish you a very happy new year!

Episode 224: Lockout Around the Christmas Tree

The baseball world got unnaturally quiet this week as the CBA expired and the owners decided to lock out the players.  Jason Hill (Viva El Birdos, @JPHill_Cards) joins Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) to talk about how things are different and when we might see baseball back to normal.  They also spend time talking about the signing of Steven Matz and what the 2022 Cardinals will look like should they get back on the field.  What is their ceiling?  Is there something the Cardinals can do to improve their squad?  Come while away the baseball hours with a little chatter!

No Allen Medlock (Red Dirt Redbird, @amedlock1) on this one, unfortunately, but Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) brings in yet another podcasting team to help cover the gap.  Tara (Birds on the Black, @tarawellman) and Alex (Birds on the Black, @alexcards79) from Chirps sit in and cover a wide range of subjects.  How much impact will Skip Schumaker have on the organization?  How will things be different under Oli Marmol?  Does it matter that the Cards resigned T.J. Episode 221: A New Boss

We've got Allen (Red Dirt Redbird, @amedlock1) back safely ensconced in the co-hosts chair just in time to talk about the new Cardinal manager.  It's no surprise that Oli Marmol got the gig but what does that mean for the rest of the staff?  Allen and Daniel (C70 At The Bat, @C70) go over that, then discuss the excellent showing by the Cardinals in the Gold Glove nominees.  Who will win and who won't?  The guys also talk about the decade of Cardinal baseball that has happened since Allen Craig caught the last fly ball of Game 7 and some early talk about the winter to come.  Come and join the guys as they catch up!
